Music Together®® Class Types

In our Babies Only classes geared for non-mobile babies 6-months and younger, you’ll learn lots of ways to interact musically with your infant. And as you sing, laugh, and learn together, you’ll bond with your child and the other new parents in your class. Babies Only classes are designed as an optional introductory class to our mixed-ages classes.

Our flagship class type, each week in Mixed-Age classes with Riverside Family Music, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them®® gather for 45 minutes of fun-filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions (with child-friendly instruments, of course). It’s so much fun you won’t realize how much learning is taking place!

You’ll take home the award-winning music used in class, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources. As you discover new ways to play with music all week long, you’ll be supporting your child’s music-learning and overall development---even if you don’t think of yourself as a great singer or dancer.

Music Together®® con Español is a bilingual English/Spanish version of the Music Together mixed-age class you know and love. It's perfect for Spanish speakers looking for a more accessible way to experience Music Together, as well as for those who want some exposure to the Spanish language through music. For all families, it's Music Together con el guiro ~ with a twist!

The songs in each collection have been recorded in a mixture of English and Spanish, which you'll take home. And, in addition to your weekly classes and the bilingual recording, you'll receive the new English-language illustrated songbook, a booklet with the Spanish lyrics, and a newsletter with more at-home music-making ideas that can hacer que cada dia sea mas divertido ~ make every day more fun!

Rhythm Kids®, geared for kids ages 4-8, follows through on the Music Together® vision to help children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from birth through age 8. As part of the Rhythm Kids®® experience, children and their grownups can enjoy drumming play and practice sessions at home with the help of online play-along videos featuring Rhythm Kids®® creator Tom Foote.

Music Together® Generations is a mixed-age music class with the sweetest twist: the addition of elder participants! In senior residential and day programs across the country, people of all ages come together to sing, dance, shake shakers, and swing scarves, including here in Wichita area!

As the children’s music-learning is nurtured, families also foster new and important relationships with the senior participants, who we call “Musical Grandfriends.” Seniors look forward to the children's lively visits and the chance to share memories and stories. The additional cognitive, physical, and emotional benefits for both children and elders make the Generations class a heartwarming win-win for everyone.
